Like Red Beans and Rice – Together We Are Better

Karen has been selling real estate since the early 1990’s. Prior to starting RED BEAN REALTY in New Orleans, she worked for the largest Prudential Franchise in California and continued her real estate career with Prudential Gardner in Louisiana branding as “Crescent City Condos.com”. In 2008, Karen was ranked in the top 3% of all Prudential real estate agents nationwide. When Prudential opted to sell their Real Estate franchise, Karen started RED BEAN REALTY grounded on a local tradition of Red Beans and Rice; “Together We are Better” concept. Red Bean Realty now has a solid team of associates working collaboratively to service the real estate needs of our community using modern marketing techniques, traditional “know your neighbor” and “info is free!” principles of selling. Karen holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Business. Although Karen had a successful engineering career, she always held a real estate license and studied the different markets in various cities for investments. She also designed and built a custom 4500 SF house which was the culmination of years chasing open house balloons in CA, studying various layouts, building materials, and landscape designs.

Real Estate has always been her true passion. Karen’s vision of tossing the strict corporate culture to start a small dynamic company with top notch associates that all believe in working hard and having fun doing it became a reality. She believes, ” If you follow your passion, customers will appreciate and benefit from your internal drive and success will follow. It’s been a great journey so far!”She promotes the lively New Orleans lifestyle and was selected to film three HGTV House Hunters episodes and was an official sponsor of the New Orleans Hornet’s Basketball team. She also is a member owner of the newly formed New Orleans Food Co-op. Karen has sold over $60 million in the Warehouse District where she lives full time. In 2011, she handled 437 transactions in sales, leasing and property management.
